My 4 Step Formula for Inevitable Success
Often we know what to do in order to create better quality health for ourselves but for some reason we just don't do it. Why is that?
Well firstly Knowledge does not equal Behaviour Change - meaning even though we know what we 'should' be doing i.e. exercising daily and eating nutritious food, it doesn't necessarily mean we do that. The key to creating real lasting behaviour change is knowledge PLUS consistent action taking!
We must take consistent action in order to make changes. So how do we make sure we take consistent action? By following my 4 step formula!
My simple 4 step formula for creating real, lasting change and ensuring inevitable success is this:
- Get Clear on your vision: Establish your goals and the timeframe you want to achieve these in, make sure they are specific and achievable within the timeframe. Your goals should be big enough so that you're excited when you achieve them, but small enough so they don't overwhelm you and feel unattainable. Feel into your vision, think about how it will feel once you achieve your goals, what is the best thing about that?
- Discover your Why: This is so important, we are so much more likely to achieve our goals when we know the deep underlying reason WHY we want them. Connect to your why so that every time you come up against an obstacle, you can swiftly move through it and keep taking steps toward the outcome you want.
- Have a clear action plan: Having the right steps in the right order makes taking action so much easier. Focus on small steps each week, its the small steps that create the big outcomes. What can you do each week to take just one step toward your vision?
- Have an accountability partner: Another vital component to making success inevitable is having someone hold you accountable so that you have no other choice but to take action! Find someone who will both support and stretch you. Someone who has full belief in your ability to achieve your goals.
By implementing this formula and incorporating ALL 4 steps, you are sure to achieve the goals you set out to achieve.
This is the basic formula I follow as a Health Coach and it is what I use for all of my clients. People find it so much easier when they have a clear vision, a deep reason WHY, a clear plan and an accountability partner.
